Blockchain can be used to allow airlines to no longer rely on a plethora of systems owned by other parties, some of which are competitors that may be unwilling to share important data. The absence of a central clearinghouse of aircraft components can result in profit-driven resellers exploiting airlines and Maintenance and Repair Organizations (MROs).
